Dylan (Crook the Kid) Jones, is a hip-hop artist and storyteller from the fly-in only community of Fort Good Hope, NWT, Canada. Born and raised in the Arctic, he has an innate passion for the culture and preservation of his home. He has taken the role of being a voice for the extreme hardship and beauty of a more rugged way of life. Mr. Jones continues to work with youth across the North, so they may find their voice through hip-hop.

Crook the Kid brings his culture and love of home to every performance while speaking on the preservation and current social destruction of both. He aims to maintain positive social justice messages to help people find a stronger narrative to life.

With the release of his debut album, Locals Only, in 2018,CTK has collaborated with numerous artists and has grown a significant discography that was held back from release, primarily due to covid. With some of the songs released, in 2022, Dylan Jones was honoured with the NWT Music Awards, Songwriter of Excellence. With the support of Canada Council for the Arts, Crook the Kid recently finished recording 12 new songs and is releasing each of these songs as singles by June of 2024. In addition, Dylan has recently received additional funding support from Canada Council for the arts to record and release his 3rd album, with an anticipated release of the fall of 2024.
